Bake a Peanut Butter Pie with Paula Deen

Ingredients for Mrs. Salter's peanut butter pie:

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 graham cracker crust, store-bought or premade

Directions

Whip cream with 1/4 cup sugar. Mix all other ingredients until smooth and fold in whipped cream until well blended. Pour mixture into a graham cracker crust and chill for several hours before serving.

The above video actually uses a bit of Mrs. Salter's recipe and of Paula's own peanut butter pie, which calls for:

  • 2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
  • ¼ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons confectioner's sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) pkg. softened cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • Garnish grated chocolate
  • Garnish sweetened whipped cream
  • Garnish fresh strawberries
