How to Cook Indian style gujia with Manjula

Gujia is an Indian stule puff pastry filled with an aromatic nut mixture. Gudjia are traditionally made for special holiday, try making some today.

Gujia ingredients:

Crust:

1 cup all purpose flour (plain flour or maida)

1 tablespoon sooji (semolina flour)

2 tablespoons oil

1/3 cup lukewarm water or as needed

Filling:

1/2 cup heavy cream or whipping cream

1 cup milk powder

1/4 cup coconut powder

1/4 cup sliced almonds

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

2 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon melon seeds (optional)



Garnish:

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup Water

2 tablespoons sliced almonds and pistachios

Also needed:

1 tablespoon all purpose flour (plain flour or maida)

2 tablespoon water

Oil to fry
