This video shows you how to make a yummy Boston cream pie. This video focuses on the pastry cream and the icing. The ingredients are 3 eggs, 1/4 of a cup of sugar, 1/4 of a cup of corn starch and whisk in a large bowl until it's fluffy and a lemon color. Put in a medium size pot 1 cup of cream, 1/2 of a cup of milk, and 1 tablespoon of butter. Bring it to a boil. Turn the heat to low and pour your egg mixture into the pan with the cream mixture. Whisk and cook for 1 minute. Turn off and strain to make sure there are no overcooked eggs that were on the bottom of the pot. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1/2 of a teaspoon of salt and whisk together. Cover and chill the cream for a few hours until it's thick. Take about 1 pound of bittersweet chocolate broken into little pieces and put into another pan with 1 cup of cream and 2 tablespoons of butter, heat it up, pour it over the chocolate mixture, and stir until it is creamy. Bake two 9 inch round yellow cakes. Place one of the cakes upside down on a plate. Put your cream mixture on the cake and spread from the middle to within 1 inch of the edge. Put the other cake on top of the cream(right side up)and press down with a slight wiggle until cream comes out to the edge. When the chocolate cools, pour the chocolate starting from the center and work it slowly to the outer edges.
