How to Bake a creamy and delicious banana cream pie

Seriously, what's not to love about a banana cream pie? Naturallly creamy, sweet bananas, crispy pie crust, and mountains of whipped cream make this comfort food dessert one of our all-time favorites.

And now that fall is officially here, cooler temperatures and cloudier days make the perfect backdrop to snuggle up with a slice of banana cream pie and hot chocolate. To learn how to bake this classic dessert, check out this food tutorial.

Ingredients:

1 baked pie shell

4 egg yolks

1 package unflavored gelatin

4 tablespoons brandy

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon table salt

2 Tablespoons cornstarch

1 and 1/2 cups milk

2 Tablespoons butter

2 teaspoons vanilla

4 bananas

For a larger pie use:

1 package gelatin

6 egg yolks

1 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon table salt

2 cups milk

2 Tablespoons cornstarch

3 teaspoons vanilla

3 Tablespoons butter

5 or 6 bananas
